Social StoriesTM were developed by Carol Gray in 1990. These short descriptive stories were designed as a social learning tool to support children in gaining information pertaining to specific activities and situations. They were designed as a way to eliminate uncertainty about situations for individuals with autism, thereby eliminating feelings of fear and anxiety.
